The underlying typesetting engine can be developed either with TeX or CCS (our proprietary system) and the controlling application is developed in a manner that allows for rapid development and on-going ease of maintenance.
ATLIS normally begins with a specification for the publication layout rules. In some cases the model is the previously published book. In others, ATLIS provides the necessary expertise in programming and design of specifications for automated composition and pagination output including incorporation of layout rules, variable data elements and graphics. ATLIS also coordinates with the programming management to ensure that the specifications have been properly defined and that the solution will satisfy publication requirements.
Our composition systems can be deployed as Web or PC desktop client applications and optimized for different publication types and publishing requirements.
