Directories

The production of directories is a specialized talent at which ATLIS excels. Most of our directory clients maintain databases on their own premises until shortly before an established print date. In order to provide the most up-to-date information to the directory buyer, the information must be composed in the most rapid method possible. Desktop solutions generally require considerably too much manual labor to be cost-effective and timely, so ATLIS uses several high-speed composition engines that result in fully-paginated PDF or PostScript files. Thousands of pages can be composed literally within an hour or two and can then be delivered electronically via FTP to the print manufacturer of choice.

Buyers Guides

Related to Directories, but with an emphasis on organization by product, ATLIS has many years of experience with producing buyers guides. Buyers Guides may, however, be more highly stylized and may require the composition flexibility of desktop publishing software. Using many of the same techniques that we use for directory production, we also can process data into Quark-Xpress-compatible "X-tagged" files that expedite efficient style-tagging and page layout within Quark Xpress.
