From desktop publishing to high speed automated batch composition we are skilled at providing a variety of print and electronic media services.

Advanced Techniques

ATLIS can render virtually any tagged file format into a press-ready composed volume. This expertise is ideally suited for publishers of structured documents and databases but also provides efficiencies to less structured publications. ATLIS thus applies these skills in the areas of journals, buyers' guides, directories, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and loose-leaf publications. Advanced, highly skilled techniques are employed to produce documents with complex text and graphics, tabular data, multi-level indexes, equations and mathematical formulas.

Multiple Output Options

ATLIS offers several output options for composed documents including PDF, PostScript™ film, and high resolution hard copy. Electronic media options include XML/SGML, HTML, RTF and FOLIO™ encoded files.

ATLIS maintains licenses to a number of composition front-end packages. For specific projects, we select the appropriate software package only after careful analysis of the project and consideration of the most efficient and cost-effective results for the customer. Complex mathematical equations and chemistry are often rendered using TeX typesetting software that arguably produces the most professional display material available today.
